Napoleon Dynamite

Monday, January 23rd, 2006

I had heard great things about this movie so I expected great things to be delivered. Unfortunatly, that wasn’t the case. The movie is funny but it’s similar to Daria in that it’s funny because it’s so glum. It really makes no sense until you see it.

Ok it was a good movie and it was pretty funny. But people were comparing it to Anchorman and saying it was better which I would strongly disagree with. If you liked Anchorman, Jim Carrey and Daria though it’s probably worth you checking out.

Darkplace on the big screen?

Sunday, December 18th, 2005

Rumours are floating around that the legend that is Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace is going to be turned into a movie. Series creators Matthew Holness and Richard Ayoade have apparently been asked to pen a script for a big screen adapation of the show.

As for the second series, the outlook is a little more grim. Basically, Channel 4 have no plans to comission a second series. But the DVD is on it’s way and although it doesn’t have a release date yet, it will be packed with extras.
